Autum in the forest

Silence in the Forest
Ever so slowly the hush of autumn settled over the forest. And with it came a sense of expectation.

Silence in the forest, what a perfect name for that picture, glad to see you still have time to take pictures.
Have a nice dayt

afterglow

afterglow
I took this picture, after enjoying a nice glass of wine at my daughter's home.
The setting was perfect. The size of glass, the wine stain on the glass, the texture of the base, the shading and the sun which streamed in the window.

Good work!!

I would love to see this photo re composed so that the entire shadow is shown.

Train Wheels

Train Wheels
I too, this shot, on my trip on a rail inspection train which ran from the village of Havelock, through the forest north to the mines at Blue Mountains. I converted it to black and white to show to demonstrate its power through contrast.

Great idea putting it in b&w, looks very cool! Sun 15-Aug-2004 03:46

life journey
I took this picture along the walkway into WestBen Festival Theatre, near Campbellford Ontario. We listened to an evening of great classical guitar music by John Boshoy.

Very pretty. Like a painting. Good job. Thu 15-Jul-2004 12:46

A drive in the Ontario Countryside

Reaching to Heaven
Rice Lake through a Root Fence
Today's drive took my wife and I and our friends to Pengally Landing, on Rice Lake, Ontario to visit the gravesite of Joseph Scriven. Joseph Scriven wrote the classic old hymn, What A Friend We Have In Jesus. I chose this picture, because Scriven's classic Hymn transcended his humanity and his art reached through him to Heaven.

The first picture was of his obelisk style tombstone, and the second is of a part of the fence which surrounds the tiny cemetry. You can see Rice Lake in the background.

Very interesting subject. and good photos
Well done Sir

Two Buildings

House by the Sea
What Once Had Been
One picture is of a main entrance in the derelict, North Shore Resort. The other picture is of Rapunzel, looking out of a window, in a small house built for the American soapbox show, the Bold and the Beautiful.

Interesting shot of the house by the sea.

I recently took some shots of the house but I have not processed the film yet.
